PT - leve II - Inspection
The Liquid Penetrant Testing Level II course is designed to provide comprehensive training in one of the most widely used nondestructive testing (NDT) methods for detecting surface-breaking defects in nonporous materials. This method is especially effective for identifying cracks, cavities, and other discontinuities that are open to the surface.
The course aligns with major industry standards including SNT-TC-1A, and prepares candidates for certification at Level II. It includes both theoretical instruction and practical hands-on training, often requiring supervised lab sessions to meet certification requirements.
Participants will learn:
The principles of liquid penetrant testing, including the physics behind capillary action a
How to select and apply penetrants, developers, and cleaners based on the inspection scenario.
The interpretation of test results, distinguishing between false, non-relevant, and relevant indications.
The documentation and procedural requirements for conducting and reporting PT inspections.
Upon successful completion of the course and examination, participants receive a certificate that qualifies them to perform PT inspections at Level II under the supervision of a certified Level III Engineer.
