MT - Level 2 - NDT
The Magnetic Particle Testing Level II course is designed for individuals aiming to advance their skills in nondestructive testing, particularly in detecting surface and near-surface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials. This method is widely used in industries such as oil & gas, aerospace, fabrication, and pipelines.
The course provides a comprehensive understanding of:
Magnetization techniques including yoke, prod, and coil methods.
Application of magnetic particles, both dry and wet, and their behavior under magnetic fields.
Inspection environments, including lighting conditions, particle visibility.
Evaluation of defects, distinguishing between types of indications and applying industry acceptance criteria.
Documentation and reporting, ensuring compliance with QA/QC standards and preparing for audits or client reviews.
