RT - NDT - Level 2
The Radiographic Testing Level II course is designed to advance the knowledge and skills of NDT professionals in the use of radiographic methods to detect internal discontinuities in materials. Building on Level I fundamentals, this course dives deeper into the physics of radiation, safety protocols, image quality, and interpretation techniques.
Participants will learn:
The principles of radiation interaction with matter, including gamma and x-ray sources.
Radiographic math such as inverse square law, exposure time-distance relationships, and source-to-film calculations.
Film processing techniques, including handling, development, and artifact recognition.
Image quality control using IQIs, film density measurements, and contrast optimization.
Advanced interpretation skills for welds and castings, identifying defects like porosity, inclusions, cracks, ..etc.
